SNAPS

SNAPS, (not to be confused with SNAP) is a network of students working to find a solution to a deadly fungus called Bsal plaguing certain salamander species throughout the United States. This deadly pathogen is difficult to track and even harder to contain, SNAPS needed a new brand identity to help with their scientific outreach.

They came to our class with a blank slate so we were able to take out ideas and run with them. It was unlike anything I had worked on before and provided an extra challenge because I hadn’t worked on website design before. I wanted to keep it clean and smart, showcasing the salamander’s and their environments as much as possible. The Logo is designed to be interchangeable with all of the species of salamander threatened by the disease. While I am far from qualified from helping to stop the spread of the Bsal pathogen it felt good to help shed light on an organization that might otherwise be overlooked.
